Anbima uncovers the profile of Brazilian investors in crypto: youth with high purchasing power.

A recent study by Anbima (Brazilian Association of Financial and Capital Market Entities) revealed that Brazilian investors in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are, for the most part, young members of Generation Z (born between 1995 and 2010) and belong to families with higher monthly income. The research also highlighted that, regardless of the type of investment, the primary financial goal of Brazilians remains to buy their own home.

According to the survey, crypto asset enthusiasts differ from the traditional profile of the financial market. While fixed income and stock investors tend to be older, supporters of Bitcoin and altcoins are predominantly young, many of them under 30 years old. Furthermore, most are in higher income classes, indicating that access to digital assets is still linked to greater purchasing power.

However, Anbima warns that the cryptocurrency market is still volatile and risky. Many young people enter driven by FOMO (fear of missing out), but without adequate knowledge of risk management. Therefore, financial education and portfolio diversification remain fundamental.

For those who want to start, the recommendation is: study before investing and do not put all your capital into high-risk assets.
