Introduction
Realms of Alurya launched as a free-to-play game on Epic Games in February and immediately opened the first gold farming event, Hunt & Mint, on April 23. This limited-time event allows players to earn $ACN, $RON, and rare NFTs by challenging dungeons and crafting passes. This article will guide you through this fantasy world game that combines action adventure and island building from a beginner's perspective, helping you get started with the game as quickly as possible.
Game Introduction of Realms of Alurya
Realms of Alurya is an action role-playing game that integrates various systems such as island farming, pet raising, and equipment minting, combined with blockchain technology deployed on the Ronin Network blockchain.
Game Story Background
Players will enter a fantasy world composed of the four elements of earth, water, fire, and ice. However, after a certain elemental conflict, the continent was shattered, so players will transform into adventurers exploring four unique ecosystems and defeating fierce enemies in randomly generated dungeons to obtain rare treasures.
NFT Item List
Although Realms of Alurya is an open free-to-play game, holding specific NFTs will help players advance through the game, thus obtaining more airdrop shares. Below are the four key NFT items:
Island NFT: Island NFTs can be seen as an evolved version of personal islands. Engaging in economic activities on NFT islands will receive additional bonuses and can use map blocks that free islands cannot access.
Pet NFT: Pet NFTs can serve as companions for players during their adventures. They not only participate in PVE battles but can also be sent out for PVP duels to win special rewards. The game also includes a pet breeding system for players to pair their pets.
Synergian NFT: Character NFTs not only have unique appearances but also enjoy various community giveaways and airdrop benefits.
Hunter’s Seal NFT: A pass NFT that allows holders to participate in the Hunt & Mint event, with a chance to earn $ACN and other NFT rewards.
Core Gameplay of Realms of Alurya
Realms of Alurya combines traditional management-type games' farming with adventure elements and adds a dungeon system to create a rich and diverse adventure world. Various elements are interlinked, and players managing multiple systems will help enhance their battle power, thus advancing the game progress. Let's take a look at the core gameplay of Realms of Alurya.
Island Farming and Development
Each player in the Realms of Alurya game has a personal island, which is a base that can be configured according to needs. Players can plant crops, raise animals, and build workshops that meet their needs through various blueprints. For example, if they lack crops, they can build farmland; if they lack fabrics, they can build a tailor shop; there are also many buildings like sawmills and blacksmiths.
When island space is insufficient, players can pay specified materials to unlock additional island areas and build functional buildings in the newly expanded areas to meet the diverse needs of players.
Dungeon Exploration
The dungeon is the PVE system in Realms of Alurya. While exploring the dungeon, players can not only defeat monsters but also collect island resources. Therefore, players need to make good use of their limited four points of stamina each day for exploration. The dungeon will be a random area, with the terrain refreshing randomly each time players enter to ensure randomness during exploration. The main elements of the dungeon include:
Monsters: Players will encounter different types of monsters in the dungeon, such as regular zombies, vampire bats, and self-destructing zombies in the first layer. Players can defeat them through normal attacks or casting skills to collect their drops.
Gathering: The dungeon will randomly generate collectible mines and supply points, and there will be monsters guarding these gathering areas. Therefore, during the gathering process, players need to avoid the monsters' line of sight or defeat them first before gathering.
Opening Chests: The dungeon will also randomly generate chests that can be opened. These chests may contain items, materials, equipment, $ACN tokens, and other resources. The number of chests is quite limited, so players need to find them within the limited time.
Challenge BOSS: When players defeat monsters in the dungeon, they will accumulate progress on the progress bar at the top of the screen. Once the progress bar is filled, a powerful BOSS will be waiting for players to defeat. For early-stage players, the challenge may be more difficult, but the rewards are also richer. It is recommended that players attempt the challenge after filling the progress bar.
Equipment Minting
The minting system of Realms of Alurya integrates the two important game elements mentioned above. Players need to use resources from island farming and resources mined in dungeons to create more powerful equipment. For example, the titanium sword, which is the easiest for new players to access, requires titanium ingots + cork board + flickering sparks as crafting materials. Titanium ingots need to be mined in dungeons, cork boards require planting and chopping trees on the island, and flickering sparks are obtained by defeating dungeon monsters, further proving the interconnection of various systems in Realms of Alurya.
Preparation Before Entering the Game
Before starting to play Realms of Alurya, players need to undergo a few simple preparation steps, including setting the language that affects the gaming experience.
Download the Game
Players can visit the official Realms of Alurya website to find the game download point. Currently, it only supports the official launcher and Epic Games platforms, and in the future, it will be available on Steam for players to download, which will likely bring more exposure.
Register Account
After entering the Realms of Alurya game, players need to register an account as shown in the image below, requiring the following settings:

Create Character and Island
The early access version of Realms of Alurya does not offer many options for players, so players only need to choose according to their preferences. The island part can prioritize creating a free island. After trying the game, if players feel that Realms of Alurya is a highly playable GameFi, they can consider investing in island NFTs.
Adjust Language
After creating your character and island, do not rush into the game. In the lower right corner of the screen, there is a gear (settings) icon where you can adjust the game language to Chinese. This will help improve the player experience. Although the Chinese display in the game is still being optimized, based on my gameplay experience, the current Chinese translation has reached a level that allows for smooth play.
Hunt & Mint Gold Farming Season
Hunt & Mint is the first event launched in the Realms of Alurya game, running from April 23 to May 23 for one month. During the event, passes, airdrops, and chests may yield game airdrop tokens, and there is even a chance to obtain limited-time NFTs. Below, we will detail the Hunt & Mint gold farming event.
Pass: Hunter’s Seal
Hunter’s Seal can be said to be one of the highlights of Hunt & Mint. Players holding this pass can participate in additional activities. There are two ways to obtain the Hunter’s Seal:
Synthesis: In the Realms of Alurya game, defeating monsters, BOSSes, and opening chests in the dungeon can yield runes. Players can repeatedly farm higher-level dungeons to obtain higher-quality runes and use these runes to synthesize passes.
Minting: Players can use 50 $RON (approximately 25 USDT) tokens to mint this pass on the Hunter’s Seal event page.
Players who have a lot of playtime can assess the progress of dungeon grinding and take the synthesis method, while players optimistic about Realms of Alurya can consider purchasing $RON tokens for minting. However, after purchasing, players still need to spend a little time completing pass missions.
Pass Mission
After unlocking the Hunter’s Seal qualification, players need to complete social, monster-killing, and farming tasks on the event page to gain experience points and level up their passes. The differences in pass levels are as follows:
Tier 1: Ensures permanent access to future Hunt & Mint events, with the potential to earn additional rewards in game events.
Tier 2: Guarantees airdrop of $ACN game tokens, and the higher the game contribution value, the more airdrop shares received.
Tier 3: Can be used to capture, collect, and command NFT BOSS legions, which will assist players in advancing through dungeons.
Chicken Hunting Operation
During the event period, players will encounter neutral animals called 'chickens' in the dungeon, which have higher health and faster movement speed. Players can earn rewards by accumulating kill counts when they see chickens. After killing 60 chickens, players can obtain an equipment chest, which can be sold in the market for $RON tokens or used themselves. When players kill 350 chickens, they can obtain the Hunt & Mint season-exclusive chicken character NFT.
Tokenomics
Currently, the official team has not announced any details regarding the $ACN token economy. However, the game team previously issued the $SNG token, which is currently displayed in the Realms of Alurya whitepaper. I speculate that $ACN and $SNG may change to be interchangeable tokens in the future. The total amount of $SNG is 200 million, and the token distribution is shown in the image below.
Conclusion
Realms of Alurya has created an ARPG focused on combat, complemented by island farming, cleverly integrating the token mechanism into the game without losing gameplay. For new players joining, I recommend not to waste daily stamina and to make the best use of it according to daily rewards. Currently, less than half a month has passed since the first season of Hunt & Mint, and if players can obtain the pass in advance, they will be well prepared for future seasons.
