Yesterday, on May 8, 2025, it was a festive day for crypto traders: $BTC broke the $100,000 mark for the first time since February, reaching $101,251, only 7.44% below the all-time high. $ETH $ jumped with a 20% increase to over $2,200 – the strongest daily gain since 2021.

The trigger? A trade agreement between the USA and the UK as well as the Pectra upgrade news for ETH. Short positions were liquidated in the billions. Those who were long yesterday can look forward to a hefty profit today.

Today, on May 9, the tension remains high: BTC is aiming for the all-time high, ETH could test $3,000. Tip: secure profits, but also be prepared for breakouts.
