U.S.-UK Trade Deal Pushes Bitcoin Above $100,000
Trump announced a trade deal with the UK, easing tensions and pushing Bitcoin above $100,000 for the first time since February. On Thursday, this digital asset rose by 3.4%, while most other major cryptocurrencies also increased in value, especially Ethereum, which surged by 12%.
On January 20, when Trump took office, the price of Bitcoin reached a record high of approximately $109,000. Trump stated that the full details of the agreement would be negotiated in the coming weeks. Under the agreement, the UK will expedite customs procedures for U.S. goods and reduce barriers to exports of agriculture, chemicals, energy, and industry.
This is the first deal since Trump imposed high tariffs on dozens of U.S. trading partners.
