#FOMCMeeting Bitcoin's dormant whales awaken after a decade, 325 million dollars transferred before the Fed's rate decision
Two long-inactive Bitcoin wallets from the "Satoshi" era have suddenly become active after more than a decade of silence, transferring a total of 325 million dollars worth of Bitcoin just before a significant interest rate decision from the United States Federal Reserve.
According to the blockchain analytics platform Spot On Chain, the first whale transferred 2,343 BTC, worth approximately 222.2 million dollars, to a new wallet after being inactive for 10.5 years. Historical data shows that this whale initially acquired about 2,187 BTC in July 2013 for just 185,850 dollars, at an average price of 85 dollars per coin.
