Co-founder of BitMEX believes that the US will not accumulate reserves in crypto

Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, expressed the opinion that the US is unlikely to actively increase its reserves in the first cryptocurrency.

In his view, the volume of digital assets in the US will not exceed 200,000 bitcoins, which mainly consist of confiscated funds obtained from investigations, such as the Silk Road case.

Hayes highlighted two main reasons supporting his point of view. First, it is the growing national debt of the US. Second, it is the image of bitcoin investors, which does not align with the traditional political agenda.
