Vitalik Buterin warns against rushing to decentralize rollups
Vitalik Buterin, one of the founders of Ethereum, told when L2 networks should move to decentralization. In his opinion, there is no need to rush into it.
Buterin believes that a rollup is ready for decentralization when its proof system becomes sufficiently reliable. The probability of failure should be lower than the risks associated with centralized management, such as collusion or a security board error.
Until that point, decentralization can paradoxically reduce security, since it increases dependence on a system whose reliability has not yet been fully proven.
Mike Tutin, CTO of PureFi, shares a similar point of view. He noted the vulnerability of users with too early decentralization.
