Stunned! Buffett angrily lashes out at Bitcoin before retirement: rat poison, I wouldn't touch it even if I died!
94-year-old Buffett announced his retirement at the end of the year, ending a legendary 55-year investment career. But before he leaves, he continues to "last spit" — continuing to denounce Bitcoin as “rat poison,” and even boldly stating: “If I could buy 5-year put options, I wouldn’t even blink.”
This is not the first time; as early as 2018 he publicly criticized cryptocurrencies. Although he claims blockchain technology is great, he turns around and mocks Bitcoin as “Shell 2.0.” Compared to those Wall Street moguls who oppose it on the surface while scheming behind the scenes, he is truly "tough."
Buffett fundamentally believes in tangible assets, loves Apple, drinks Coke, and has never shown interest in virtual currencies. But now, with Vitalik conducting a global financial revolution and spot ETFs attracting tens of billions of dollars daily, I wonder if the old gentleman will gulp down three bottles of Coke to calm his nerves upon retirement?
