$ETH XYOO Network surpassed 10 million DePIN nodes, according to its co-founder
Non-native cryptocurrency users represent about 80% of the participants in the decentralized physical infrastructure network.
XYO Network has incorporated over 10 million nodes into its decentralized physical infrastructure (DePIN) network, as reported by co-founder Markus Levin in an interview with Cointelegraph.
The nodes are primarily human users who provide data in exchange for rewards through the network's mobile application, COIN. "The vast majority of our 10 million nodes are mobile users, but some are IoT devices like smart speakers," Levin told Cointelegraph.
Approximately 80% of XYO users are non-native cryptocurrency users and are participating in Web3 for the first time, he added.
Among them are truck drivers, rideshare drivers, delivery people, and nurses, Levin said, adding that "95% convert after joining through the COIN app."
