Trump After 100 Days Collides with Muslim Communities and Confrontation Awaiting

In the past two days, hundreds of Muslim activists have flocked to the U.S. Congress as part of an annual program aimed at pressuring members of the House and Senate to support local issues such as ensuring security, confronting Islamophobia, and immigration laws. This activity is supported by a coalition of major Islamic institutions in the United States.

During his first 100 days, Trump launched a series of executive orders that not only stirred American public opinion but also extended their effects to encompass the entire world, including global markets and immigrant communities in the United States.

While the "America First" agenda dominates the policies adopted by Trump, Arab and Muslim communities have found themselves at the heart of this political storm, whether through controversial immigration policies or decrees affecting asylum, travel, and naturalization issues, or measures targeting students and activists supporting the Palestinian cause.

Attorney Hossam Abdel Karim (who holds a Master’s degree in law from Georgetown University) pointed out that the Trump administration focused some of its actions against immigrants on targeting Arab and Muslim students, particularly those involved in student movements opposing American policies towards Middle Eastern issues.
