Ripple tries to acquire Circle for $5 billion.. and the latter refuses

Reports claimed that Ripple made a $5 billion offer to acquire Circle, the leading stablecoin issuer, which was rejected by the latter company.

Other reports indicate that Circle was not entirely opposed to acquisition offers, but the $5 billion offer was too low.

According to several media reports, allegedly derived from Bloomberg, Circle rejected the massive acquisition offer from Ripple. The prominent stablecoin issuer recently filed for an IPO but later halted its plans after the chaos of Trump's tariffs.
