Veteran trader Peter Brandt warns of a potential decline in the Ethereum and Bitcoin network
Ethereum, once considered the main competitor to Bitcoin, is now significantly lagging behind. While in previous crypto booms (2017 and 2021), ETH grew faster than BTC, today it is quite the opposite. According to CoinGecko, over the past year, Bitcoin has increased by 53%, while Ethereum has, on the contrary, fallen by 42%.
Trader Peter Brandt noted on the chart that the ETH/BTC pair continues to decline — Ethereum is losing value relative to Bitcoin. This may indicate a potential further weakening of ETH, unless a significant recovery occurs.
Among the positive news: American ETFs in Ethereum have shown 40,000 ETH for the first time in eight weeks, which may indicate growing investor interest.
