$ALPACA
Alpaca is also the 'main token' of the DeFi project Alpaca Finance, getting involved in the BSC chain community.
In simple terms: users borrow money to leverage their capital for mining, if they make a profit, you get a share, but if they lose, they might get liquidated. The price of $ALPACA is highly volatile, and the community jokingly refers to it as the 'happy coin for retail investors', which is a game of heart-pounding excitement.
Recently, Binance announced it would delist the ALpACA trading pair in May, and as a result, the coin skyrocketed by 3000%, which is quite the magical scene. The market interprets the reasons in three ways: first, gamblers are playing a 'doomsday carnival', trying to manipulate the price to cut the last wave of retail investors just before the liquidity dries up; second, the project team painted a big picture of 'we are moving to a new chain'; third, the market cap is too light, and the pumpers can easily drive the price up.
This coin being called a 'retail investor coin' is not without reason—leveraging for mining sounds like a path to wealth, but in reality, just a slight price shake can lead to liquidation. Usually, the price lies flat and plays dead, but every few months it suddenly surges and plummets, specifically targeting retail investors chasing spikes. Although the project has some technical foundation, the DeFi sector is severely homogenized, with actual application scenarios being approximately zero; to put it bluntly, it's a speculative toy relying on 'high returns' hype to attract attention.
This surge is more like a classic routine in the crypto space: delisting from exchanges should be bearish, but the pumpers used the information gap to create a situation for cutting retail investors. Ordinary people see the price increase and become envious, rushing in, likely becoming the last person holding the hot potato—after all, once liquidity is withdrawn, whoever takes over is the one holding the torch as a fool.
