The first Hajj flight of this year, carrying 398 passengers, has left Dhaka for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
On Monday (April 28), the flight took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2:20 AM. Earlier, on Monday evening, religious advisor Dr. A F M Khalid Hossain inaugurated the Hajj flight at the Ashkona Hajj Camp in the capital. He then exchanged greetings with the Hajj pilgrims. During this time, the religious advisor urged the Hajj pilgrims to adhere to the laws of Saudi Arabia and to refrain from actions that could tarnish the country's image.
It is reported that on the first day, a total of 10 flights will carry 4,180 Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. Among these, eight flights will land in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, while the remaining two flights will land at the airport in Medina.
