Nvidia refuses to be associated with crypto, Arbitrum withdraws

The Arbitrum Foundation announced its withdrawal from the Ignition AI Accelerator program, supported by Nvidia, after the semiconductor giant requested not to be mentioned in public communications related to cryptocurrency. A decision that the Foundation describes as "prudent from a business standpoint."

A failed collaboration amid communication tensions

Initially, Nvidia and Arbitrum were in talks to establish an exclusive partnership within the Ignition AI Accelerator program, also supported by Tribe. This initiative would have provided Arbitrum with support in artificial intelligence development as well as cloud credits. However, Nvidia reportedly suddenly changed its position, agreeing to collaborate only on the condition that its name would not be publicly associated with cryptocurrency-related projects.

Faced with this requirement, the Arbitrum Foundation preferred to withdraw, denouncing a lack of long-term commitment from Nvidia.
