China to Launch the World’s First Flying Taxis

China has become the first country to approve autonomous passenger drones for commercial use, marking a major milestone in the development of its low-altitude economy.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has issued air operator certificates to EHang Holdings and Hefei Hey Airlines, authorizing them to operate flying taxi services for urban sightseeing tours, according to the South China Morning Post (SCMP).
