CZ orders no further transfers and sends millions of tokens to burn address

From his address, Binance founder CZ has burnt tokens valued millions of dollars.

Already delivered to a burn address are TUT and Broccoli coins valued over $3.5 million.

Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of Binance, acknowledged via X on Monday that he had moved numerous very valuable tokens from his account to a burn address, a kind of wallet used to permanently eliminate assets from circulation.

Based on CZ's post, the value of the tokens moved fell between six and seven digits. Although certain artificial intelligence systems exist to automatically remove this kind of token, he pointed out they have not been thoroughly security tested. CZ indicated he will do the remaining transactions at another point.

CZ penned, "Sent a few high-value tokens (6 or 7 figures) on my address to a burn address," adding a request: "Please do not send more tokens to the address expecting an interaction."

On-chain information reveals the burn included:

TUT at $1.95 million

$1.1 million in Broccoli (caAb)

Broccoli (6714) at $546,000

Token distribution to a burn address efficiently eliminates them from circulation, therefore limiting overall supply. In crypto tokenomics, this is a standard technique to modify supply and maybe affect price.

Two of the most prominent meme tokens the BNB Chain has seen recently are "Broccoli" and "T Tutorial," (TUT).

Rising in popularity with a larger memecoin trend connected to Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) and his public interaction with the ecosystem were these currencies.

After CZ mentioned his dog Broccoli, which led to the release of multiple unrelated tokens under the same name, community conjecture helped the Broccoli coins gain traction.

Born out of a popular instructional video demonstrating how to produce and use a token on BND Chain, TUT, or "T Tutorial," debuted early in 2025.
