REX Shares, known for its exchange-traded funds (ETFs), has submitted applications to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) seeking approval for a new lineup of crypto ETFs. These funds are designed to give institutional investors exposure to popular cryptocurrencies like $XRP , Solana ( SOL), Dogecoin ( $DOGE ), and Bonk (#Bonk ).
This move comes shortly after Donald Trump's inauguration and the resignation of Gary Gensler as SEC Chairman, with Commissioner Mark Uyeda stepping in as the acting Chairman.
Interestingly, REX Shares’ proposals for the #DOGE , BONK, and $TRUMP ETFs mark a pioneering effort in the realm of meme coin ETFs.
Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart shared his thoughts on these applications in a post on X, highlighting that these ETF products have been filed under the 1940 Act.
