BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF sees record withdrawals after record-breaking year.
Investors withdrew a net total of $$ 333 million from BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) on Thursday (2), marking the fund’s largest outflow since its launch.
The fund also recorded its third consecutive day of outflows, the longest losing streak since its inception, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
As the largest Bitcoin spot fund with over $$ 53 billion in assets and nearly $$ 37 billion in net inflows, IBIT saw strong institutional investor adoption after its launch in January and helped propel Bitcoin to an all-time high of $$ 108.315 in mid-December.
