What is the Binance Square identity certification mark?
On Binance Square, we provide identity certification marks for individuals or brand accounts whose identities are verified. This certification mark is issued by Binance Square, helping you make wiser decisions about whom to follow and what content to interact with. Nevertheless, it is crucial to continue conducting self-research (DYOR) and report any suspicious content promptly to ensure you focus only on real experts willing to share valuable insights.
We grant two types of certification marks, located at the bottom right of the profile picture. The black check mark is set for official Binance accounts, while the golden one is awarded to influencers, media, institutional organizations, and notable figures.
What are the requirements for applying for the golden certification mark?
Accounts with the golden certification mark must meet the following general guidelines:
1. Credibility: Must comply with the Binance Square community management guidelines and Binance Square community usage terms.
* If violations are found, Binance Square reserves the right to revoke the certification mark and maintains a 60 working days observation period.
2. Authenticity: Must go through the Binance account identity verification process.
3. Activity: Must remain active on Binance Square and post regularly.
Specific requirements for different types of accounts:
1. KOL (Key Opinion Leader)
Having 30,000 or more followers on the Binance Square platform, and the account is active. If necessary, we may contact you to complete additional verification;
or receive an official invitation from the Binance Square team. This invitation applies to the following situations:
You have at least 30,000 followers on other social media platforms;
or you have significant influence in the industry, such as being a founder or C-level executive of a Binance ecosystem project or another mainstream crypto project.
Whether to invite will be decided by the Binance Square team based on the actual situation.
2. Media
As a reputable media company, actively covering news, blogs, reports, or analytical content.
You may be asked to provide additional information for identity verification. You can only set the square user nickname to match your company name after your account is certified.
3. Commercial institutions/investment companies
Cryptocurrency, Web 3, fintech, or traditional tech companies; institutions; funds; market analysis platforms, aggregation trading platforms, and wish to share cryptocurrency-related content on Binance Square.
You may be asked to provide additional information for identity verification. You can only set the square user nickname to match your company name after your account is certified.
4. Project parties
Only projects that have been listed on Binance are eligible for the certification mark.

How to apply?
1. KOL
The Binance Square team will conduct a monthly assessment of the eligibility for the certification mark. Creators with 30,000 followers and meeting all other requirements will receive the certification mark in the following month. After obtaining the certification mark, eligible creators will also receive notifications via 'Square Secretary'.
Creators must have no violations and need to create at least one post on the square each week to maintain the certification mark. The Binance Square team will review all accounts with certification marks monthly based on necessary factors. If creators fail to meet the requirements, Binance reserves the right to remove the certification mark.
