According to Foresight News, zkSync founder Alex G expressed his views on Ethereum's expansion and interoperability between chains. He stated his support for expanding Ethereum Layer 1 (L1) but criticized rollup-based solutions. Alex G argued that rollup solutions essentially act as a single sequencer combining multiple chains, which involves complex political collaboration and intricate security dependencies among various teams.

He suggested that to effectively compete with Solana, Ethereum should focus on enhancing the performance of its clients. However, he expressed skepticism about this approach, believing it might fail due to another faction's willingness to compromise decentralization for higher throughput and lower latency.

Alex G also mentioned that if the goal is to increase Ethereum's price, the community should move away from relying on previously high MEV-driven fees. He emphasized that it is too late to revert to past strategies and instead suggested focusing on Ethereum as a new value internet built on top of Bitcoin. In this economic system, Ethereum stands out as a superior currency for serving as trustless DeFi collateral and a store of value.
