Strategy reorganizes its financial structure
Strategy (
$MSTR ) continues its transition from a policy of full reliance on buying Bitcoin to a more flexible capital management approach.
In its latest move, the company sold 1,638 BTC for about $104.7 million, and used the proceeds to fund preferred stock dividends and repurchase preferred STRC shares. After the transaction, its holdings became approximately 842,138 BTC.
Most importantly, Strategy increased its dollar cash reserve to around $4 billion, while repurchasing about $81 million worth of STRC.
📌 Why does the news matter?
This step does not necessarily mean that Strategy has abandoned its long-term vision for Bitcoin, but it shows that liquidity and financial sustainability have become higher priorities—especially with obligations to pay preferred stock dividends.
Takeaway:
Strategy still holds a massive Bitcoin treasury, but it is now more prepared to use BTC, liquidity, and share issuances as tools to manage its capital structure rather than relying only on continuous buying.
