A change is quietly brewing in the @Polkadot ecosystem — it's called JAM DAO 👀
This emerging builders organization is just a month old but has already begun to step onto the governance stage.
How did the idea of JAM DAO come about?
The JAM Prize proposed by Gavin will reward these 38 JAM implementation teams with DOT — 25% of which is unlocked immediately, and the remaining 75% is locked DOT that will unlock linearly over two years.
These locked DOT represent real OpenGov voting rights. Let's do some math:
For every completed development phase = 100,000 DOT
If 10 teams have completed the M1 phase
That means these JAM core developers already have 1 million DOT in hand
If using the maximum willingness-to-vote, it equates to a governance influence of 6 million DOT 👀
This is not a "small voice"
Most of these developers initially had no intention of participating in governance,

W3F releases DV data and analysis! Discuss whether to cancel the DV plan and the next direction!
Trying to achieve "decentralization" through "centralization" seems a bit contradictory. This thought has been on my mind recently when reviewing the data of the current Decentralized Voices (DV) group. We have delegated voting rights of approximately 42 million DOTs and 180,000 KSM to different DAOs in the community to enable them to play an active role in OpenGov. The original intention is clear: we hope to give responsible and deep thinking people in the Polkadot ecosystem the opportunity to truly influence governance decisions.
After a year of operation, this plan has worked to some extent, although it is still imperfect. We can see that new voices, new groups, and a new culture of participation have emerged in the Polkadot governance space.
