China Discovers “Limitless” Thorium Energy China has reportedly uncovered a massive thorium deposit at the Bayan Obo mining complex in Inner Mongolia, which could potentially supply the country’s energy needs for 60,000 years, according to a declassified geological survey. 233 thorium-rich zones have been identified across China, with an estimated one million tonnes located at Bayan Obo. Thorium-based nuclear reactors provide a cleaner, more efficient alternative to uranium, offering 200 times more energy output.
