#GOATNetwork presents a different approach to Bitcoin scalability and programmability—one that doesn't replicate Ethereum's model but instead builds directly from Bitcoin's design principles.

Team & Origins

GOAT’s team pioneered decentralized sequencers on Ethereum L2 with Metis (200x token rise). Now they’re applying that expertise to Bitcoin, building a truly decentralized and programmable BTC ecosystem.

BuildKey: Alternative to VC-Driven Launches

Instead of private rounds, GOAT uses a system called BuildKey—a tradable token tied to future supply. No lockups, no special terms.

Each BuildKey entitles the holder to a portion of the 0.12% token pool, but the exact redemption ratio fluctuates with market sentiment:

🟢 At Stage 3, each BuildKey redeems for 0.000005% of the supply
⚪️ At Stage 2 (current stage, ~$5.48/Key), each redeems for 0.000004%
🔴 At Stage 1, it adjusts down to 0.000003%

At ~$5.48 per Key, GOAT’s implied FDV is ~$137M—well below the typical $300M–$500M for BTC Layer 2s.
