New Security Breach for the "Four.Meme" Platform and Theft of $174,000
The “Four.Meme” platform, based on the Binance blockchain “BNB Chain”, was hacked this morning, Tuesday, leading to the suspension of its liquidity pool on “PancakeSwap”.
The security company “SlowMist” revealed that the attack exploited a vulnerability in the platform's smart contract, allowing the attacker to bypass transfer restrictions and manipulate prices.
This is not the first time the platform has been attacked, as it previously lost $183,000 due to a similar vulnerability.
In this breach, the attacker obtained “Four.Meme” tokens before their official launch, then exploited a vulnerability to create a fake trading pair on “PancakeSwap”, allowing them to add liquidity at an incorrect price and steal the funds.
$174,000 was transferred through multiple wallets to launder the money, using various “PancakeSwap” contracts to conceal the trace.
In response to the incident, “Four.Meme” halted its launches and announced a plan to compensate affected users.
