The important upgrade Pectra of Ethereum has officially been deployed on the Holesky test network on the morning of February 25th as scheduled. However, this network encountered issues that prevented the transaction confirmation (finalization) from completing as expected.
Incident on Holesky Testnet – Cause Still Unknown
Immediately after deployment, Holesky experienced serious issues, preventing transactions from being fully confirmed. The specific cause has not yet been determined, and the development team $ETH is urgently finding ways to fix it.

The March Ethereum update called Dencun became one of the key events of the year. The main goal is scalability, reducing transaction costs, and strengthening Layer 2 solutions. But how effective has this been?
1. Decrease in fees: a fact
After the implementation of proto-danksharding (EIP-4844), data began to be transmitted in blobs — separate segments that do not overload the main chain. This drastically reduced fees on L2:

According to data from ultrasound.money, the supply of ETH is now higher than before The Merge, the event that helped ETH become a deflationary asset. This is a sign that the Ethereum network may enter a challenging phase.

Previously, Ethereum was praised as 'Ultrasound Money' due to its decreasing total supply thanks to the transaction fee burning mechanism (EIP-1559). When network demand is high, the amount of ETH burned will exceed the amount of newly issued ETH, making $ETH a scarce asset like Bitcoin.
