The U.S. national debt just crossed $40 trillion.

It hit the mark on August 18. It’s already at $40.1T.

The context:

$2.7T added in the last 12 months.
$11.7T added in the last five years.
$117K owed per American.

Another casual day in crypto

RWA Season

Bitget’s hot wallet was compromised in an attack involving roughly $350M in assets.

Bitget says the attacker didn’t obtain private keys. Instead, a critical wallet backend was compromised, allowing the attacker to forge transfer data and trigger the signing process.

Cold wallets reportedly remain untouched, and Bitget says its $464M+ User Protection Fund can cover the affected amount.

Another reminder that crypto security isn’t just about protecting private keys.

The infrastructure around them can be just as critical.

Stay safe. Don’t keep all your crypto on a CEX.

I’m increasingly bullish on onchain collectibles.

The ability to bring provenance, ownership and global liquidity onchain could fundamentally change how we trade high-value collectibles.

Good to see $HYPE fonally listed on Binance.

Now that the market is back up again we can see that “timing” the bottom is simply ridiculous.

If bitcoin is down 50% and (almost) all altcoins are down 70-80% it’s the right time to buy.

Solana $SOL just processed more weekly trades than the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

208M spot DEX trades vs. 189M last week.

This is trade count, not dollar volume, so the NYSE still leads on value. But the direction is clear: trading is moving onchain.

Feels good to see $BTC back at these levels. $BTC is back at $85,000.

The United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪 just moved its national digital identity infrastructure onto Avalanche. $AVAX

UAE Pass serves 12.5 million residents and visitors, across 15,000+ services and 350+ government and private entities.

Its Digital Vault, the core verification layer, now runs on a dedicated Avalanche L1, built with Ava Labs and Deca4.

This isn’t a pilot.
