According to BlockBeats, Czech Justice Minister Pavel Blazek has resigned following a scandal involving his department's handling of Bitcoin. The cryptocurrency, valued at nearly $45 million, was originally donated by a convicted drug dealer.

The Czech Ministry of Justice announced that it had raised almost 1 billion Czech koruna (approximately $45 million) through the auction of nearly 500 Bitcoins. These funds were intended to support projects such as the digitalization of the judicial system, combating drug use in prisons, and improving housing conditions for prison guards.

However, the source of the cryptocurrency was Tomas Jirikovsky, a criminal associated with the infamous dark web market known as Sheep Marketplace, which was notorious for selling illegal goods.
