🌉 Did You Know❓ Euro Banknote Bridges Were Never Real — Until Someone Built Them 🇪🇺
The bridges shown on euro banknotes were intentionally designed to be fictional, so no country would feel left out. They were created by Austrian artist Robert Kalina to represent different eras of European architecture.
But Dutch designer Robin Stam thought it was a shame they only existed on paper.
So he brought them to life.
📍 In Spijkenisse, near Rotterdam (Netherlands 🇳🇱), Stam built the bridges one by one, inspired by every euro banknote:
€5 — Classical
€10 — Romanesque
€20 — Gothic
€50 — Renaissance
€100 — Baroque & Rococo
€200 — Iron & Glass
€500 — Modern 20th-century architecture
