Why I Joined Binance — And What I Found Instead
I still remember the day I created my account on Binance last year. It didn’t feel like just signing up for an app — it felt like stepping into a new life. A life where I could finally call myself a trader. A life where numbers could change my story.
I wasn’t chasing millions.
I wasn’t dreaming of luxury.
I just wanted $5,000.
That number meant everything to me. It was more than money — it was a ticket. A chance to apply for a bachelor’s degree in Europe. A chance to step out of my country and into a different world.
So I started.
At first, it was excitement.
Charts looked like puzzles I could solve.
Every green candle felt like hope.
I tried everything — trading, airdrops, small flips. Days turned into weeks. Weeks into months. I kept telling myself, “Just one good run… just one break.”
But the market doesn’t care about your reasons.
Slowly… things changed.
A small loss became a bigger one.
Airdrops I waited months for turned into nothing.
My pocket money — gone, piece by piece.
And still, I stayed.
Because walking away felt like accepting defeat.
I told myself I was learning. That every loss was just part of the journey. But deep down, I knew… I was drifting further away from that $5,000 dream.
Then one day, I checked everything.
Balance: almost empty.
Dream: still the same.
Reality: completely different.
I didn’t make it.
I failed.
Not dramatically. Not loudly.
Just quietly… over time.
And that was the hardest part.
Now I’m still here.
Same country. Same room. Same screen.
But something has changed.
I don’t see myself as a trader anymore — at least not in the way I imagined. Now, I’m trying something different. I’m trying to become a writer. To write, to share, to earn in a new way.
Maybe in the next six months… something shifts.
Maybe my words will do what my trades couldn’t.
And if I ever reach that goal — if I finally earn enough, if I finally step out into the world — it won’t be because I never failed.
It will be because I kept going… even after I did.
For now, this is just a story.
But maybe… not for long.
