CAKE Has Reached A Serious Test

What caught my attention with CAKE is not simply the 9% daily move.

It is the combination of price action and activity happening underneath it.

CAKE pushed to around $2.60 before pulling back toward $2.50. That was the highest level seen since November 2025.

The move came after PancakeSwap introduced its Pre Access Portal which gives users exposure to private entities before public launches.

But I would not assume the announcement alone can sustain the rally.

The stronger signal for me is the spot activity.

Buy volume reached around 6.2M over the last 24 hours while market delta stayed positive for four consecutive days.

That suggests buyers have been more aggressive than sellers.

There is also a change in staking activity.

Total CAKE staked reportedly climbed from around 82K BNB to 86K BNB within a short period. The staking level also returned to an area not seen since November 2025.

More tokens moving into staking can reduce immediately available supply.

But again there is an important distinction.

Reduced liquid supply can help price when demand remains strong. It does not create demand by itself.

The chart is now approaching another important area.

CAKE needs to reclaim and hold $2.60.

If that happens with continued spot buying then $2.80 becomes the next resistance I would watch.

The momentum indicators are also supporting the current structure. SMI moved toward 55 while the positive ADX component reached 33 and the negative component dropped toward 8.

That shows buyers currently have control of the short term structure.

Still I would be careful after a fast move.

If CAKE gets rejected around $2.60 then a pullback would not automatically invalidate the recovery.

For me the key question is simple.

Can buyers turn $2.60 from a 10 month high into support?

If they can then $2.80 becomes a much more interesting test.

If not then the market may need to consolidate before attempting another breakout.
