$ZEC is showing an interesting recovery after yesterday’s sharp volatility. On Binance Futures, ZEC is around $1,144.22, up 6.73% in 24H, with a high of $1,217.78 and low of $1,053.79. The bigger picture is still aggressive: ZEC climbed from roughly $815 on Sept. 2 to above $1,290 earlier this week before pulling back.

The fundamental backdrop is also stronger than the chart alone suggests. Grayscale’s ZCSH became the first U.S.-listed spot ZEC ETF, and reports showed more than $500M in ETF assets shortly after launch. At the same time, Zcash’s Ironwood upgrade is driving migration toward the new shielded pool, while the Zcash Foundation is currently working toward the next NU7 upgrade scope.

But price structure is where I would stay careful. ZEC is still below the recent $1,290–$1,300 resistance area, and the move from $1,244 to roughly $1,079 on Sept. 10 showed how quickly sellers can hit this market. Today’s recovery is constructive, but I would want price to reclaim the $1,200–$1,218 zone with sustained volume before treating the move as a confirmed continuation rather than another relief bounce. Binance’s 24H futures volume is already around 2.64M ZEC / $3.03B USDT, so liquidity is clearly elevated.

There is another risk worth watching: derivatives positioning. A recent snapshot showed roughly $524M of ZEC open interest on Hyperliquid and positive funding, meaning leveraged longs are paying shorts. That does not automatically mean bearishness, but after such a fast rally it can make the market more vulnerable to a long squeeze if support breaks.

My levels are therefore confirmation-based rather than chasing price here. Bullish trigger: clean acceptance above $1,218, with the next major test around $1,290–$1,300. Key support: $1,080–$1,100; losing that zone would weaken the current recovery and expose the lower $1,050 area. I would avoid forcing an entry in the middle of this range and would rather wait for either a confirmed breakout/retest or a clear support reaction.

Crypto is volatile, especially after a move this large, so position size and risk should match your own strategy. Would you wait for ZEC to reclaim $1,218 first, or do you think the current $1,080–$1,100 zone is strong enough for another move higher?
