i caught myself assuming that if Bitcoin was going to help another network,it probably had to leave Bitcoin first

the more i looked into Babylon, the less that assumption made sense.

the interesting part isnt moving BTC somewhere else

Its letting Bitcoin remain exactly where it belongs while its economic value can still contribute to security beyond the base chain.

Thse sound almost identical.

i dont think they are

one changes where the asset lives.

THe other changes what the asset is capable of supporting.

maybe thats why Babylon kEeps feeling less like another BTCfi protocol and more like a different way of thinking about Bitcoin itself.

still wonderinG whether people are paying enough attention to that distinction... OR if yield numbers are drowning it out.
