Everyone keeps saying Babylon lets Bitcoin secure Proof-of-Stake chains. I think that description is accurate, but it also misses the bigger shift happening underneath.
What if Bitcoin is slowly becoming crypto's most valuable security service rather than just its most valuable asset?
That changes how I look at the entire ecosystem. For years, blockchains competed by building their own security from scratch. Now we're seeing more interest in borrowing the credibility and economic weight that Bitcoin has already spent years earning. That's a completely different direction for the industry.
The part that stands out to me is that this isn't about turning Bitcoin into another high-speed smart contract chain. It's about extending the value of its security while preserving self-custody. If more networks choose to anchor their security around Bitcoin instead of creating isolated trust models, Bitcoin's role becomes far more important than simply being "digital gold."
From an investment perspective, infrastructure like this matters because utility often creates stronger long-term demand than narratives alone. A security network becomes more valuable as more participants rely on it, creating network effects that are difficult to replicate.
I'm watching this trend more closely than short-term market noise because infrastructure shifts usually happen quietly before the market fully prices them in.

Do you think Bitcoin's biggest future role is as a store of value, or could security become its most valuable service to the entire crypto ecosystem?
