I used to think the biggest challenge in Crypto was building better technology. The more I study Bitcoin, the more I realize the harder problem is changing Human behavior.
Bitcoin hOlders did not become cautious overnight. Years of exchange failures, hacks, and broken promises taught them that self custOdy isn't just a feature, it is a habit built on experience. Those habits are part of Bitcoin's security, nOt something to "fix."
That is Why Babylon made me stop and think. What caught my attention was not the idea of earning on BTC. It was the design Philosophy. Instead of asking People to abandon the principleS they have spent years Protecting, it tries to build around them.
I think that is where real adoption starts. Every new wallet, bridge, approval, or custody transfer creates another reason to hesitate. The hardest competitor is not another prOtocol... it is the comfort of doing nothing.
Technology can scale with code, but adoption scales with trust. And trust grows slowly.
Maybe the next breakthrough in crypto won not come from asking People to change their habits. It'll come from designing Infrastructure that respects those habits while quietly expanding what's possible. To me, that is much harder to build... and probably far more valuable.
