Spent a bit of time reading @BabylonLabs_io latest partnership update with @KeystoneWallet and one detail kept pulling me back.
On the surface, it's pretty straightforward. Babylon users will be able to choose Keystone as a Bitcoin wallet for native BTC-backed borrowing through Aave v4 using Trustless Bitcoin Vaults.
But the wallet choice feels more important than it first appears.
Keystone has built its reputation around one idea: your private keys never leave your control. Air-gapped signing. Open-source firmware. Every transaction verified before it's approved.
That's almost the same trust model Babylon has been pushing with native Bitcoin-backed borrowing.
Instead of asking users to compromise on self-custody for access to liquidity, both sides seem to be moving in the opposite direction.
It makes the partnership feel less like adding another supported wallet and more like reinforcing the assumptions the product is built on.
Still curious about the "more information in the coming months" line.
If this ends up being deeper than wallet compatibility, it could say a lot about where Bitcoin-backed DeFi infrastructure is heading next.#baby $BABY
