🐳 Big Whales goes bearish: $900M in shorts against $BTC & $ETH One of the biggest crypto whales — known for holding around $11B in Bitcoin — just opened massive short positions totaling nearly $900 million on BTC and ETH. According to Onchain Lens and Lookonchain, the whale placed: - a $600M 8x leveraged short on Bitcoin, with liquidation near $133,760, - and a $330M 12x leveraged short on Ethereum, liquidating at $4,613. The move suggests they expect a short-term correction — despite market optimism after BTC’s all-time highs above $125K. Interestingly, most recent selling pressure hasn’t come from whales but from retail cohorts (“shrimps” and “crabs”) taking profits. My take? It looks like a classic case of whales hedging after a strong run-up. Even if this turns out to be a fakeout, it’s a reminder: when the biggest players start shorting, the market usually takes a breather. #Write2Earn #Write2Earn!
