In this article I will write about main problems which I stumble upon every day (and I’m not the only one) when launching new projects. I will not speak today about crowdfunding, negotiations with VC’s, incubators and accelerators. Today I will speak about real strong Startuper problems — people. I am sure that the main problem is not money or lack thereof (as Robert Kiyosaki said in "Rich Dad Poor Dad", there can be two problems in life: a lot of money or little money. Which of these problems do you want?"). The main problem is people, people and more people. And the connections between them.

Team and community matters (thats for what new founders are looking from the first day). In many cases founders have problems with programmers (i know people who had problems with them and have them too). Programmers like to steal the money from founders. Yes, you can hire other programmers and check the code twice, but... There may still be holes in the code. Lucky you or not... who knows. Few days ago even company SwissBorg got problems with 50 millions dollars stolen via Solana (for them, as they told, it was 1%). Not far ago Bybit was compromised, but, as i know, Binance helped them. I know people (founders) whose programmers stole more than few millions dollars.
In my case, as for new project founder, I have problems with programmers too.
Freelancers are unreliable. And they can run away with the first small money. They don’t look wide. They cut off the branch they are sitting on.
Good quality programmers (i can’t verify their code currently, but only portfolio and their background past companies) or even the middle ones want money today (like the salary people, on "slave" basis). Basically they want middle or good salaries but me, as a new founder, can’t give them those salaries in the beginning. That’s why i have to find investors (to pay salaries, promote project, pr and marketing, listings).
Programmers with their mind in most cases don’t want to be cofounders or they just don’t have money for investment like cofounders (live on salary basis from day to day, don’t manage the capital). They don’t need millions, only a monthly salary (crumbs). And I’m not Google. Today, a normal project is a project with 1-2 billion dollars of capital, that’s the minimum. When you’re a big company, it’s easier for you to find and control programmers. And only a few of those programmers who worked in large companies like Google or Microsoft start their own companies. And how many projects are not implemented... I hope in the future, in about five years, programmers will disappear completely and will be replaced by AI.
Last my country where i lived for many years was Finland. They have project Kiuas https://www.cofounder.kiuas.com They positioned itself as a project where people meet each other on a cofounders basis (because firstly as a founder you need a team to build something online or offline, not a money), many awesome projects can be build by Faith & Time (and be showered with money later). In fact Kiuas in Helsinki (Espoo) is not a cofounding meeting (i was there few times), it’s just a job search site or a labor exchange, people just go there to find a job, it’s awful.
Before, when i lived a long time in Estonia, i visited hackatons. For example SEB bank hackaton maybe 6-7 years ago in Tallinn. The idea is the same as now going hackaton in Singapore.
You come here, with idea, find the team. Then you have 2-4 days (in most cases 3) to build something good and present this to the public (pitching), then you get medal of honour, or diploma, or some small amount of money, or some contract from sponsors. Idea - good. But in fact it doesn’t work and the implementation is just terrible. In fact, people who have known each other for a long time, ready-made teams, come together with themselves, create the appearance of sawing something (in fact, they come with ready-made code), and present their own product to themselves. In fact, again no one was looking for a team and hackathons do not work. Founders who do not have programmers before the event are again left "with their noses" (failure). I believe (since I only have faith) that I have come up with a product (project) that can not only improve the world, but also enrich investors and me, and shares can generally be listed on Nasdaq, even a company in Washington, DC, opened.
Here is the project website at the idea level. Of course, it does not have all the chips, but there is a vision. I am sure that with competent large-scale financing, this will be a multi-billion dollar project. Of course, it will not work to create and promote it for a couple of million dollars, but for 10-100 million, the output will be 6-30 billion dollars of capitalization in the form of shares (or the overall valuation of the project), on the free market.
