Hedera Council Adds Energy Consortium B4E
Blockchain for Energy, a non-profit consortium of top global energy firms like ExxonMobil, has joined the Hedera Council to advance standards in emissions reporting and sustainability.
B4E uses blockchain to streamline workflows and improve environmental accountability in the energy sector.
Its main product, B4ECarbon, is a decentralized emissions management platform built on Hedera, that ensures transparent, tamper-proof emissions data to combat greenwashing.
By joining the Hedera Council (a governing body of up to 39 global organizations that oversee and govern the Hedera network) B4E will help shape the future of the platform and operate a network node.
Council members run nodes to ensure decentralization, enhance network security, and have equal voting power in decisions about software upgrades, governance policies, and platform direction.
