"You can only sell the dream so many times."
This is a phrase you hear often in crypto - usually near the end of a run, cycle, or rotation. People start worrying that there are no more marginal buyers. The narrative feels played out, the hype is gone, and what used to move the market no longer has much impact.
And they’re not wrong - until they are.
Because what actually happens is:
- Time passes.
- Things go quiet.
- People forget.
And then, like clockwork, the same dream gets repackaged, rebranded, and resold to a new wave of hopefuls or to the same people, just wearing fresher hopium goggles.
You can’t erase human nature. We want to believe.
And in this market - more than any other, belief outweighs truth.
