Shorting several coins is like fighting multiple monsters at the same time in an RPG.

You could easily kill them one by one, but they all attack you at once, and that’s what kills you.

In trading, all your shorts are correlated, so they go against you together and stack up, and that’s what kills you too.

This all comes back to one of the biggest sins in trading: oversizing.
