The plan, still in the conceptual stage, involves using blockchain infrastructure providers like Early Warning Services and The Clearing House to enhance payment speed and reduce cross-border friction.
This could allow the big players on Wall Street to invade the market share of existing stablecoins launched by native cryptocurrency companies, including Ripple's RLUSD, Circle's USDC, and Tether (USDT).
Ripple launched RLUSD in March 2025 as a stablecoin in U.S. dollars regulated on both XRP Ledger and Ethereum.
Backed 1:1 by reserves in U.S. dollars and short-term Treasury bonds, RLUSD serves as the backbone of payments and liquidity for RippleNet and its suite of on-demand liquidity (ODL) products for institutional players.
At the time of publication on May 23, Ripple's native stablecoin now has a circulating capital of $310 million, according to the latest RLUSD data from Coingecko.
However, the emergence of a "Wall Street stablecoin" backed by the four largest U.S. banks threatens to diminish the growing market dominance of RLUSD, particularly among institutional players.

#Cetus offers $6 MILLION reward to the hacker

A "deal with the devil" to recover $223M

#CetusProtocol , the decentralized exchange (DEX) based on #SUİ that recently suffered an exploit of $223 million, has taken an unprecedented step by offering a limited-time reward to the hacker to recover the lost user funds.
This reward specifically targets the funds that were transferred to the network #Ethereum
Cetus Protocol has offered a reward of 2,324 ETH (approximately $6 million) to the attacker in exchange for the return of 20,920 ETH (valued at $56.3 million) and the entirety of the frozen funds in the exploiter's Sui wallets.
Truce in Exchange for Return: The message to the attacker indicates that, if they accept the offer, Cetus "will consider the matter closed and will not take any further legal, intelligence, or public action." However, they warn that legal action will be initiated if the stolen assets are moved or mixed.

💸 Coinbase was hacked and KYC data was leaked — the hacker laundered $42.5M and left a mocking message on the chain
🔔 In December 2024, a hacker bribed an internal employee of Coinbase to access the personal information of nearly 97,000 users — including real name, address, phone number, and also photos of identity documents. Passwords were not leaked, but this data was used to carry out a large-scale phishing attack, affecting both users and the account recovery system.
📌 After unsuccessfully demanding a ransom of $20M, the hacker converted:
- $42.5M BTC → ETH through THORChain
- Then continued exchanging 8,698 ETH for 22 million DAI, completing the money laundering process.
💥 On the chain, they left a concise message: "L bozo" — a direct mockery of ZachXBT and the entire on-chain research community.
🚨 Really concerning: This is the perfect cross-chain money laundering: The hacker used THORChain, a decentralized and cross-chain DEX platform without KYC, to break all tracking efforts by traditional monitoring tools.
→ No Tornado, no mixer, no need for anonymity — just understand the mechanism correctly and exploit human vulnerability.
