I exchanged USDT for USDC, explaining the benefits.

Historically, I have always used pairs with USDT in trading. And even when Binance started actively promoting USDC, I did not switch.

Due to my region of residence, I have access to all operations with USDT, but today I exchanged all of them for USDC. Here’s why:

Why do the Fed's rates and Powell's speeches affect cryptocurrency prices?

I remember googling this topic at the beginning, so I'll write it down. Maybe you don’t know either😉

Historically, it has been the case that when the Fed lowers interest rates, cryptocurrency increases. Credit money becomes more accessible, more investors appear, there is more demand for risk assets, and prices rise.
Let’s not forget that the Fed usually lowers the interest rate to support the economy (with credit money). And during periods of economic decline, Bitcoin plays a role as a safe haven. Two factors overlap each other.

That's why, when Powell said yesterday that they might not lower the rate, the market disappointedly fell🤷🏻‍♀️
Then apparently he thought it was too early and it rose.

The Fed will officially announce its decision on whether to lower the rate or not on May 7. Most likely, we will also see a big candle there. Let’s see if it’s red or green🤔

How to sell this 'constantly falling junk' without a loss.

Everyone has their own 'falling junk' in their wallet. For me, it was WIN and BTTC. I bought them almost at the very peak (don't do that😉), at 17 dollars each.

And when the fall began - this 'junk' always fell harder than everything else, and during periods of growth - it grew slower. In the end, it was worth 14 dollars in total. A loss of 20 dollars. But selling was psychologically difficult. So I held on.

Now essentially:
One day, both of these coins started to rise, not much, but still. Coincidentally, at the same time, SOL dropped significantly. In my list of favorite tokens, they turned out to be clearly: at the top WIN - with the highest growth, at the bottom SOL - with the biggest drop.

If I had to choose what to hold in hopes of growth, SOL or WIN, of course, I would choose SOL. I calculated everything, and it turned out that if on that day I exchanged my 'junk' for SOL and it grows adequately, I would close without any loss at all. I exchanged, and today the loss is already 4 dollars instead of 20. But I am not selling yet, waiting for it to grow a bit more.

Maybe this method will be useful to someone.
The main thing is to wait for the moment when the junk is rising, while some good coin like BTC, SOL, ETH, LTC, XRP, BNB is falling.
