A Review of 6 Years as a Part-Time Player in the Crypto World: Earned Some, But Didn't Strike It Rich
Since registering on Binance in 2019, I have unknowingly been navigating the crypto world for nearly 6 years. As a part-time player, I haven't engaged in node operations or full-time investment research; I've solely relied on reviewing projects, learning trends, and following hot topics after work.
Over these years, I have experienced bull markets, the DeFi summer, and the GameFi explosion, but I've also missed many opportunities for 'getting rich overnight.'
Fortunately, I persisted, and my assets have gradually accumulated to nearly $50,000. While this doesn't compare to those legendary stories of hundreds of times returns, for a non-full-time participant, it can still be seen as a glimpse of an era.
It's somewhat regrettable that, despite being in the early days, many opportunities were missed due to insufficient understanding, hesitation in actions, and conservative risk control. Often, I found myself 'seeing the opportunity but not getting in; getting in but exiting too early.'
Looking back, the crypto world is indeed a place of high volatility, high emotions, and high barriers to entry. It's not just about trading coins; knowledge, mindset, information acquisition skills, and even life circumstances can affect your profit and loss outcomes.
My current mindset is: not anxious, not fantasizing about getting rich, continuously learning, and striving to make better decisions in the next cycle.
