Meanwhile, the PEPE whale may never be able to cash out his profits, as the meme coin’s developers blacklisted his address. Controversially, the Pepe contract has a built-in feature that allows its lead developer to blacklist wallets holding the token via the unique owner modifier.
Notably, several speculations have circulated about the reason for the blacklisting. However, popular consensus believes that the owner of the wallet is a PEPE developer and was blocked to prevent him from directing selling pressure through his sale.
