The Messenger, peace and blessings of God be upon him, told us about the qualities of hypocrites in order to warn us against them, so that we may stay away from them. He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: The sign of the hypocrite is three: if he tells a lie, if he promises he breaks it, and if he is entrusted he betrays him. He warns us against breaking a promise, from lying in hadith and narrations, and from betrayal in trustworthiness, and they are among the characteristics. Hypocrite people, we seek refuge in God, so beware of them.
