When I started with cryptocurrencies, it was right after the 2020 halving. I didn't know much, but something told me that was the moment. Soon after, what I later understood to be an alt season began, and it changed my perspective on the market forever.
One of the first tokens I trusted was BNB. I bought it when it was only worth 13 dollars. Today I look at its current price and can't help but think about everything that happened in between. The same goes for CAKE. I found it at just the right moment, when DeFi was still a somewhat wild territory but full of opportunities. I saw it surpass 40 dollars, and it wasn't just a good investment: it was a gateway to an ecosystem that marked me, that of Binance Smart Chain.
The greatest gains I made in crypto did not come from holding BTC or ETH, but from being there early, understanding what was happening in the riskiest layer of the market. And yes, I was lucky, but there was also intuition, community, and learning.
Today, when I see how the market is, I wonder if we will be able to live something similar again. Will there be another alt season like that? If there is, CAKE could easily multiply by four from its current price, and if not, I still think it’s an excellent opportunity to double capital in the short or medium term.
I miss that time. The vertigo, the excitement, the air of discovery. And I think many of us who were there feel the same: that we deserve another chance like that.
