On Binance, there are several types of orders that traders can use to buy or sell cryptocurrencies. The main types of orders are divided into market and pending (limit / conditional).
🔹 1. Market Order This order is executed instantly at the best available price in the market.
🔹 2. Limit Order This order is executed only when the market reaches the price you specified.
🔹 3. Stop-Limit Order This is a conditional order: when the price reaches the stop price, a limit order is activated.
🔹 4. Stop Market Order Similar to stop-limit, but after activation, it is executed as a market order.
🔹 5. Trailing Stop Order Automatically moves along with the price based on a specified percentage or amount.
🔹 6. OCO (One Cancels the Other) This is a combined order: one limit + one stop-limit. When one is executed, the other is automatically canceled.
🔹 7. Post Only / IOC / FOK (advanced order options) Post Only - ensures that your order will be added to the order book and not executed instantly.
IOC (Immediate or Cancel) - is executed immediately partially or fully, the rest is canceled. FOK (Fill or Kill) - is either fully executed instantly or completely canceled.
CEX (Centralized Exchange) and DEX (Decentralized Exchange) are two types of cryptocurrency exchanges that differ in their operating principles and fund ownership. CEX is a centralized exchange where the exchange holds your funds, while DEX is a decentralized exchange where you control your funds and trade without intermediaries.
