How I Lost Everything in Crypto—And Gained It All Back

In 2020, I took a leap into crypto with $4,000. During the 2021 bull market, my portfolio skyrocketed—10X, 20X, and more. I felt unstoppable, convinced I had cracked the code.

But I hadn’t.

When the 2022 bear market hit, everything unraveled. I held on, refusing to take profits, watching my gains disappear. I didn’t know how to manage risk, take profits, or control my emotions. By the end, I had lost almost everything.

Instead of quitting, I chose to rebuild. Starting in April 2022, I began accumulating small amounts every month, researching projects carefully, and sticking to a disciplined plan. Slowly, I applied the lessons I had learned.

Now, in 2025, my portfolio has rebounded, but more importantly, I’ve grown.

The journey taught me resilience and the importance of strategy.
